SWIR 1K microHSI™
NovaSol has recently completed the first design and production of a large format micro SWIR hyperspectral sensor. Initially designed to be incorporated in a multi-sensor 20" gimbaled ball, the microHSI SWIR has the flexibility to fit into a variety of ground based and airborne applications. This sensor extends the miniaturization concepts into the SWIR from NovaSol’s microHSI VNIR. This, in combination with a fast frame rate and large format FPA, results in a compact device with an excellent area coverage rate.
The microHSI SWIR 1K unit was first tested outdoors in September 2008, followed by flight tests conducted in late 2008. This sensor joins the microHSI product line which includes an existing tested and delivered VNIR and an LWIR in preliminary design state.
